Artstream Certificate Completion Requirements
To complete the Artstream Certificate, students must achieve the following:
- A minimum of a grade of C in all required courses
- A minimum of a grade C in CCST 100
- A minimum of a grade C in either AHIS.100 or AHIS.101
- A minimum of a grade C in either DRWF 110 and DRWF 120 or DRWF 115 and DRWF 125
- A minimum of a grade C in a 100-level studio course or equivalent, as determined by AUArts' Artstream Director.
Please note – Artstream graduates don’t receive high school diplomas. Instead, Artstream graduates are accepted into First Year Studies at AUArts and are given credit towards their Bachelor’s degrees for all applicable courses taken.
Artstream tuition and fees
2020/2021 School year
The Board of Governors of the Alberta University of the Arts determines tuition and student fees. The Board reserves the right to change fees and deposits when necessary and without notice. Student fees are evaluated each year in conjunction with tuition.
Tuition has been set in accordance with the Public Post-secondary Institutions’ Tuition Fees Regulations released by the Government of Alberta, and in consultation with the Alberta University of the Arts Students’ Association. Tuition for future years will be set in accordance with these regulations.

For the purpose of the Artstream certificate, tuition is assessed on a per-course basis. The following schedule represents tuition and student fees for a student participating in the Artstream program. Fees are subject to change without notice.

aAll full-time students must pay this premium for mandatory full-year health/dental coverage in September. Students providing proof of equivalent alternate health and/or dental benefits to the Students’ Association Office by Friday, September 20, 2020 will be refunded this amount by the benefits company. NOTE: Alberta Health Care is not considered equivalent coverage. See the Students' Association for opt-out conditions/ deadlines, coverage for family and/or dependents, coverage for part-time students, and coverage for students starting in January. The opt-in deadline for students starting their studies in January is Friday, January 23, 2020.
