Kelly Hartman

Communication Design

Instructor, Graphic Design

Kelly has 25+ years of experience as a practicing graphic designer and creative director. Her design studio focuses on strategic branding and editorial design. Kelly's book design – 50+ books and 30 magazines to date – have garnered her 52 national/international design awards including AIGA, Applied Arts, Graphex, Ad Rodeo, Design and Print Excellence (UVU), Coupe and The Redgees, to list a few. She has also been published in over a dozen publications throughout North America and Europe. Most of the recognized work has pushed the boundaries on design and manufacturing with unique design solutions that engage the reader and encourage interaction.

Kelly has been a judge for the Junos (design), Applied Arts and The Redgess. She is an avid music junkie (some would say obsessed), a scuba diver and a closet disk golf fanatic. She also loves all things craft in design and typography including her bizarre but super interesting collection of gravestone lettering.
