Nancy Townshend | Unpacking: The Series

Unpacking: The Series is a series of free public programs taking place Thursdays at 1 p.m. at the Illingworth Kerr Gallery.

Each week a visiting speaker will discuss a different topic relating to the current exhibition.

Programs are free and open to the public.

About the speaker

Nancy Townshend is a historical researcher, writer and curator based in Alberta. Nancy has furthered international recognition of Canadian artist, Maxwell Bates through a major exhibition of his work, a book and website. Townshend taught art history courses at Mount Royal and ACAD, worked in the public gallery sector and was awarded a Centennial Medal in 2005 for her contributions to the visual and literary arts in Alberta.
