Attention students: work with ACAD this summer!

The Alberta College of Art + Design (ACAD) is employing post-secondary students this summer as part of the First Nations Summer Career Placement Program (FNSCP) or the Alberta Summer Temporary Employment Program (STEP).
Current student opportunities include: 
  • Audio Visual Technician Assistant - For students enrolled in Media Arts, Digital Technology, or related to some Audio Visual experience with projectors, Mac computers, and theatre, audio, or band equipment.
  • Computer Technician Assistant - For students enrolled in Information Technology or related with an understanding of Windows 7/10, Mac OSX, MS Office products (Word, Excel); experience with computer account administration and cleanup; experience with data cleanup and website maintenance; and experience with network administration and cleanup.
  • Digital Content Coordinator - For students enrolled in Communications, Journalism, Film/Video, Digital Communications or related with digital content creation skills including digital graphic design, photography, digital editing in Adobe Final Cut/Premium Pro; and experience with Adobe Suite programs including Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign.
  • Summer Camp Assistant - For students enrolled in Education, Visual Arts, Design, or related and have experience working with youth in a coordinating or mentorship role; experience with providing support in art + design programs; and have First Aid training or certification.

Post-secondary students eligible for these opportunities must be currently enrolled in a degree or diploma granting program and will be returning to school full-time in September 2018. Students must be legally entitled to work in Canada and be available to work 35 hours per week from May to August 2018.
