ACAD School of Continuing Education + Professional Development embarks on new partnership with OCAD U
Calgary, Alta. - The Alberta College of Art + Design’s (ACAD) School of Continuing Education and Professional Development (ConEd) is thrilled to launch a complement of online courses in partnership with OCAD University. This collaboration is ACAD’s first virtual offering and is designed to elevate learner’s professional and personal development, increase creative potential and allow exploration into areas of self-expression.
“ACAD’s School of Continuing Education and Professional Development is delighted to be launching our first ever online course offerings in partnership with OCAD U. The merging of our institutions to deliver these courses reinforces a Pan-Canadian educational service,” said Nicole Hamilton, Executive Director of ACAD’s School of Continuing Education + Professional Development. “This type of flexible delivery speaks to the new mandate in ACAD’s school of continuing education, which includes broader appeal with working professionals.”
Courses being offered include Introduction to Web Analytics, Web Art and Design, Digital Photography, Adobe Photoshop, Basic Design Principles and more. An entire list of courses can be viewed HERE.
Evan Tapper, Director of the Office of Continuing Students at OCAD University looks forward to future collaborations between the two art and design institutions. “In light of our mutual interest in providing educational opportunities for art and design professionals across Canada, The Office of Continuing Studies at OCAD University is excited about this new partnership with the School of Continuing Education and Professional Development at ACAD to offer online studio art, design, and digital media courses to ACAD students,” said Tapper.
