Call for Proposals: Beakerhead + Kensington Village Alley Art Work

ATTN: Current ACAD Students

DEADLINE EXTENDED to Friday, July 21

Every September, Beakerhead erupts onto the streets and venues of Calgary with cultural works that have science or engineering at their core. The following is a call for proposals to design, build and implement an engaging installation in an unexpected alley in Calgary for Beakerhead 2017 (September 13 - 17).
Here’s what you have to work with: A narrow alley, a shoestring budget, and a busy street. You will see some photos of the alley options later in this call by we hope you have a vision that will delight passers-by and they'll tell their friends all about it!
Doesn’t every hidden pathway deserve a little makeover? Some are turned into musical instruments, become a trap for a giant clown head or a red ball. Others are painted as a canvas or illusion.
How will you transform this alley canvas into something AMAZING for Beakerhead 2017?
