Portfolio review day │ Winter 2020

WHEN: January 25, from 1 until 5 p.m.

WHERE: Alberta University of the Arts (AUArts), Calgary, AB.

Do the words “portfolio review” stress you out? Don’t worry, it’s going to be okay.

In fact, it’s going to be an amazing experience! (trust us).

You will have an opportunity to review your portfolio with our faculty, who will sit down with you and provide some constructive feedback when you attend.

Portfolio review day is a great way to get some one-one-on-one time with our instructors, learn how portfolios are evaluated, and get some helpful tips on how to make your portfolio more impactful.

Portfolio requirements

Your portfolio should consist of 12 pieces of recent, original artwork such as sketch-books, photography, 3D-sculptures or ceramics, paintings, digital drawings, animation or any other medium you work with.

We also love to see works-in-progress as it’s a great way to learn about your process. The artwork you bring can be presented as the physical pieces or on-screen copies.

* Please note that the Winter Portfolio Review is best suited for students in Grade 10, 11, 12 (or older) to help you prepare for submitting your portfolio with your application.

If you are not in Grade 10 or older please stay tuned for more events coming in the New Year. We also encourage you to check out our Teen Programs that run during the summer.

If you have any other questions about how to register or about this event, please email myfuture@auarts.ca or call us at 403.284.7617.
