Imaging Futures

"Imaging Futures" is a group exhibition by AUArts students from the AHIS 211 spring semester.

Exhibition “Imaging Futures” shares experimentation with the value of the history of graphic design in the face of a rapidly arriving cleaner and greener economy. Exhibitors researched design tools and concepts from a historic era and applied them to designing an ad to meet the promotion needs of real start-ups attempting a circular business model of production or assisting in clean energy transitions or carbon reduction to meet net-zero 2050 targets.

Reflections beside the work explain the real product/service as well as the graphic design history incorporated in the design decisions. In some customizations, the researcher-designer may have attempted to work with period-authentic production technologies or represented the imagined outreach of a non-profit organization concerned or delighted by such shifts.

This exhibition is open to the public, on campus and viewable in Room 371 on floor 3U.
