This two-day conference will include demonstrations and artist talks by Sarah Pike (BFA '98, Ceramics), Sean Kunz (BFA '05, Ceramics), and Tomo Ingalls (MFA '22, Craft Media). An evening keynote lecture by Emeritus faculty Greg Payce will celebrate the history of ceramics at AUArts, followed by an exhibition reception and silent auction.
1000 Miles Apart is a long-running, student-centered conference hosted on a rotating basis by Red Deer Polytechnic, the University of Regina, the University of Manitoba, Lakehead University and the Alberta University of the Arts (formerly ACAD).
The conference is open for all to attend. Registration is free for all students, and we ask the public to consider donating to the Luke Lindoe Ceramics Fund in support of student opportunities.
