Convocation 2025

Convocation will take place at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, next to the AUArts Campus.

Convocation is one of the most rewarding moments in the annual life of our university when we proudly witness students’ graduation. Crossing the stage means you have completed your degree and will continue building your art, craft and design practice. This is not the end of your learning but the continuation of what we hope will be a rich and rewarding lifelong journey of learning, exploring and creating.

Day at a glance

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Gown pickup

12:30 to 1:00 p.m.: Mustering

1:00 p.m.: Auditorium open for guest seating

1:00 p.m.: Graduating class photo

1:15 p.m.: Final call for Academic Procession

1:30 to 3:15 p.m.: Convocation ceremony

3:30 p.m.: Grad Show

3:15 to 4 p.m.: Gown return

Guest tickets

You can get tickets for friends and family who want to attend convocation at Ticketmaster. Tickets are free and you can order as many as you need; you do not need a ticket for yourself.

Grad Show

The Illingworth Kerr Gallery will host its annual Grad Show to showcase artwork from BFA, BDes and MFA Graduates of the Class of 2025. The opening reception follows the Convocation ceremony.

Location & parking

Convocation will take place at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, next to the AUArts Campus. The Jubilee Auditorium is located at 1415 14 Ave NW, Calgary, AB.
