Drawings by Contemporary Sculptors

The Alberta College of Art Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition entitled Drawings by Contemporary Sculptors, opening Thursday, October 20th at 8 p.m. 

The works in this exhibition are works on paper by 33 artists who usually deal with three dimensional concerns in a variety of media and form. These drawings, collages, photographic and lithographic prints exhibited here range from preliminary drawings of sculptural ideas to works that explore their own importance of materials and surface of visual art ideas of the last two decades. 

Drawings by Contemporary Sculptors includes works by such outstanding artists as: Ian Carr-Harris, Nancy Holt, Christo, Donald Judd, Sol LeWitt, Claes Oldenburg, Dennis Oppenheim, David Rabinowitch, Robert Smithson, Mia Westerlund, Irene Whittome and others. The exhibition will continue through to November 16th, and an accompanying catalogue will be available for those interested.
