Les Graff, RCA, Spirit of Locations – A Journey

Les Graff is a well recognized Canadian visual artist who lives and works in St. Albert, Alberta.

This exhibition presented at Leighton Art Centre is not a survey or retrospective, but a small selection of more current paintings and drawings that reflect Graff’s long, passionate practice and his connection to the Alberta landscape.

Les Graff (Dip '59, Painting) knows the landscape intimately through his decades long practice of pushing the idea of landscape painting in his own unique way, fed by observation and the emotional experience of memory and inspirational impact.

The opportunity to show the wonderful work of Les Graff at Leighton Art Centre, located in the breathtaking setting of the southern Alberta foothills, is both significant and inspirational.

At 90, Graff continues to maintain his studio practice and exhibits at Bugera Lamb Fine Art, Edmonton, Alberta.

The exhibition is organized for Leighton Art Centre by Paddy Lamb and Mark Dicey (Dip '83, Painting) with gracious assistance from Bugera Lamb Fine Art.
