AUArts Video Wins Prestigious Anvil Award

Alberta University of the Arts is thrilled to announce the university’s brand video “Why AUArts” has won a top honour at the 2022 Ad Rodeo Association Anvil Awards. Winners — Ad Rodeo Association.

Created in partnership with the talented team at Calgary’s Studio Dialog, the video took home the Anvil Award for Best Long Form Video.

Focused on the personal stories of three AUArts alumni – Su Ying Strang (BFA ‘10, Painting), Kyle Chow (BDes ‘09, Visual Communication Design) and Jeff de Boer ( Diploma ’88, Jewellery and Metals) – the video shares each of these talented and influential alumni’s creative journey. “Why AUArts” also features alum Andrew Holloway (BFA ‘20, Jewellery and Metals) an apprentice working alongside Jeff de Boer. [In other recent award news, de Boer was honoured by AUArts at Convocation 2022 and received an Honorary MFA degree.).

AUArts sincerely thanks the entire creative team at Studio Dialog for their enthusiasm and expertise in bringing these alumni stories to life!
