FreedomAcrylic paint I am from Crimea, Ukraine. Territory that was occupied by Russia long time ago. Freedom was always the thing missing in my life. Now that I am in Canada I understand that, and I see how some countries discriminate basic human rights and I want to speak up, even through the art. This artwork was created to show that not everyone gets to feel freedom and it can be taken away so easily. But I want to make a statement by this painting : that nobody should be able to take away human rights. |
