Connection and difference between the present and the past is explored in the piece using colors, poses, and natural mood. Although the grayscale terracotta warriors contradict the saturated background of the grocery store, they are wholly integrated into the piece, depicted to be interacting with the produce and objects normally. They look to be unbothered by the conflicting background of a grocery store, even appearing and acting like ordinary shoppers. Although this artwork seems surreal and nonsensical, it suggests how the past continues to exists in the present.
