[?]Marker, acrylic paint, watercolour, pencil crayon, sharpie, paint marker [ ? ] Is a personal piece about my experiences with gender expression and the mystery of finding myself through the internet. The painting shows me in a MS Paint-style window as somewhat of an anomaly. Within a pixelated world, unnatural to the natural world making a problem in the system. I feel that’s the same feeling and experience for a lot of queer youth finding themselves today. It occasionally feels that if you’re an anomaly for being yourself unable to express yourself properly, without it being a problem or a bother. |
