As the Crow FliesRecycled fabric on canvas The artwork is a representation of the overconsumption that we cause as humans, specifically through clothing and textiles. All of the fabric used on it is recycled from a Goodwill bin store rather than buying brand-new fabric for the project. The shape and configuration of the composition are made to look like a bird’s-eye view of the prairie landscape. My personal connection to this piece is that the view shown is one that I see every time I fly back to Winnipeg. |
