Heavy GlobesAcrylic paint, raw canvas sheet "Heavy Globes" is an exploratory piece that reflects upon my transnational upbringing, where two globefish symbolize the burden of having an identity that fluctuates between past homes and places of belonging. As someone who has repeatedly moved countries throughout my childhood, I have often struggled to navigate feelings of misplacement, nostalgia, and losing contact with homes held only in memory. I hope that observers of my artwork will connect with the topic of having a wavering identity, and be able to interpret the piece in a way that strongly resonates with their own paths to self-discovery. |
