For 100 years, Alberta University of the Arts has held a vital role as a hub of creative exploration in Alberta. In celebration of the university’s centennial, An Alberta A(r)ttitude showcases eight exceptional graduates from the past two decades—artists who embody the fearless spirit that has always defined our institution.

Emily Promise Allison (BFA '15, Sculpture), Haley Eyre (BDes '19, Photography), Rhys Douglas Farrell (Continuing Education Instructor, BFA '16, Painting), Lyndon Navalta (Sessional Instructor, BDes '13, VCD), Mia Riley (BFA '16, Ceramics), Paityn Savoie (BDes ’24, VCD), Julia Rose Sutherland (BFA '13, Fibre) and Sahar Te (BFA ’17, Media Arts).
The opening weekend will include exceptional programming:
- Artist Talk with Sahar Te | Friday, Jan. 16, 1 to 2 p.m. at the Illingworth Kerr Gallery at AUArts
- Panel discussion: The State of Art Criticism in Western Canada with Levin Ifko, Tom Tait (Galleries West), and Joy Xiang (C Magazine) | Saturday, Jan. 17, 1 to 2 p.m. at the Stanford Perrott Lecture Theatre at AUArts
