d.talks partners with LobbyFest, an Urban Ideas Festival popping up in lobbies and +15s across downtown Calgary this September 13-15th.

SEPTEMBER 13

  • The pop-up will be in place! Come visit the Bow Valley Square +15 anytime between 8am-5pm.

  • 2pm-3pm Let’s Talk About…Ritual.

    Local filmmaker and urban design professionals Gary Burns (“Waydowntown” and “Radiant CIty”) and Kelli Rae Morning Bull (Treaty Money, Cultural Instigators and the Calgary Public Library) will share ideas on +15s and rituals.

SEPTEMBER 14

  • They will continue our pop-up activation and discussion around rituals. What does ritual mean to you? Do you have a +15 ritual?

  • 2-3pm LIVE Podcast recording.

    Jared Tailfeathers (BFA ’15, Painting) and Floyd Black Horse host the final installation of the rituals podcast. This five episode podcast interviewed a handful of artists from Chennai India and Calgary Canada and explored how rituals have connected them to the land, to their community and to themselves.

 

SEPTEMBER 15

  • The final day of the installation, be sure to stop by and share your thoughts, images and discuss what an urban future for Calgary looks like to you.

  • The Mx Committee will be recording content to share via instagram for the Untold Cities project. Be sure to follow their instagram for more information!
