Satellite Gazing: This Storm is What We Call Progress

Join us for a performance lecture and satellite-gazing with artist Uii Savage as part of programming for their exhibition "Celestial Passage."

"Satellite Gazing: This Storm is What We Call Progress" is a performance lecture that features a live reading with a video projection, in which Uii Savage (BFA ’20, Media Arts) takes the role of a fictional Heretic Investigator to guide participants through ‘satellite gazing’ - the activity of looking up at satellites as part of a study or hobby. By discussing the astrological significance of the positioning of certain planets and learning about how to access NORAD data, Uii will guide participants through understanding the work as well as helping to empower participants to better understand publicly available satellite data.
