Anatomy of the Heart
This piece, "Anatomy of the Heart", is inspired by the warmth and euphoric feeling of a hug when being embraced by a loved one. When two people are embracing one another, their hearts are up against each other's. Knowing this, with the use of acrylics and various other mediums, this piece depicts the inner peace one feels when with someone they love. Personally, hugs have never been my forte. They're awkward and touchy which many, including myself, are uncomfortable with. However, with the right person all of this fades away. The feeling of being with someone I love and being close to them fills me with an unparalleled warmth. It's comparable to a safe haven where you can unforgivingly be yourself without worry of judgment and shame. The ability to love and be loved is precious, and we are lucky to experience it. Whether it be those of eros, philia, or agape. True love never fails, and if it does it wasn't love.
