ArcticSunrise
This is a series inspired by one of my favorite artists, Lawren Harris, a painter that was part of the group of seven. In this series I painted a group of landscapes untouched by humans that are inspired landscapes I’ve seen in real life. The reason for making this series is because I’ve always felt inspiration and a sense of calm whenever I have seen the work of Lawren Harris. No matter how many times I see his work, it is always beautiful. I’m also making this series since I’ve found that depictions of mountains and arctic landscapes are my favorite. Most likely because of my love of skiing and ice skating, and my visits to family in Norway.
